Beverly Jean Bohn of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 87 on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was born on April 18, 1933 in Denver, Colorado to Orville Collins and Helen Maas.\n \nDuring high school Beverly moved to Toyoko, Japan with her family where she graduated from high school. Beverly was a super-soprano in the school’s “Capella Choir”, as well as a member of the volleyball team. If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, she was a cheerleader, too.\n \nBeverly married George Carlos Bohn, and together they raised seven children. Beverly was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in a multitude of callings, but loved working with the Young Women most. As an adult leader, Beverley attended girls camp where she rode the zip line like she was fourteen, and after braving it herself, she dared the girls to try the scary rope launch ride they called “the flying squirrel”.\n \nBeverly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and it showed. Each has a lifetime of memories with her and the countless hours she spent sewing receiving blankets, and crocheting around the edges. She beamed with pride when family members wanted to learn how to sew and crochet like she did.\n \nBeverly and Carlos were sealed for time and all eternity in the Las Vegas, Nevada temple.\n \nBeverly is survived by her mom, Shigeko Collins of Las Vegas, her sister Silvia Adwell, of Florida and her seven children: Christine Lynn Bean of Las Vegas; Michael James Bean of Las Vegas; Jodi Karen (Joe) Collins of Ely, Nevada; Richard Donovan (Sheryl) Bean of Henderson, Nevada; Brett (Carmon) Bohn of Las Vegas, Nevada; Eric Bohn of Indiana; and Wade Bohn of Las Vegas.\nShe is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Beverly is loved by her family and they miss her already. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.\n \nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Minersville, Utah Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel (130 West Main Street, Minersville, UT). A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the same location.
